Trip Ninja Partners with UK Travel Company
This month, Trip Ninja signed a partnership agreement with A1 Travel Deals. Under the agreement, the company will integrate their travel planning and booking software with Globehunters.com, a subsidiary of A1 Travel Deals.
Ocean Tech Organizations Receive $1.4M Funding
Halifax based startup, DeNova, received $900,000 in funding to further develop their sustainable source of protein for fish and animal food. Sedna Technologies and the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE) also received a share of the $1.4 million fund from the federal and Nova Scotia government.
Halifax Researchers Develop Software to Protect Wildlife
Marxan Connect aims to help conservationist protect animals as they move in and out of protected areas. The open-source software was developed by Halifax oceanographers Remi Daigle and Anna Metaxas along with a team of international researchers. Daigle hopes the software will be used globally broadly and a case study is already underway in the Gulf of Mexico.
