B-Line Launches COVID-19 Tracing Feature

Local smartphone survey company, B-Line Analytics has expanded its analytics tools from helping building owners measure commute and engagement to reducing the spread of COVID-19 through a tracing feature. The contact tracing feature will concentrate on one building at a time and track movements of its occupants to and from their workplaces. “As restrictions begin to lift and employees return to work, B-Line’s new contact tracing platform will help employers and building owners work together to protect the health and safety of their tenants and teams”, said CEO CEO Aaron Short

Sobey Centre Supports Retail Businesses Navigate COVID

Saint Mary’s University’s leading source of retail research and Innovation, the David Sobey Centre is offering a new program to support local retail business leaders navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from generalized advice, the 6-module course content will also include the Centre’s pandemic-related market research. The program runs from June 30 to July 16. The first 200 registrants will receive free access.

Digital Assistance Program Launched to Boost Nova Scotia Tourism

Last week, Digital Nova Scotia and Tourism Nova Scotia announced their partnership on the Tourism Digital Assistance Program. The initiative provides funding to qualified digital service providers to support tourism operators to attract potential customers, improve competitiveness and customer experience. Local Startup Accepted into CDL Recovery Program

Halifax-based senior monitoring startup, Tenera Care has been accepted into the Creative Destruction Lab’s Recovery accelerator program. The startup uses wearable devices to track the physical locations of seniors’ home residents, staff and visitors within six inches. “This program is providing us with access to the people and opportunities needed to accelerate our ability to protect the seniors care population during these incredibly difficult times,” said Tenera CEO Stew Hardie
